Purpose and scope

Time Management Training aims to provide employees with knowledge and skills about tools, methods and techniques that will enable them to make realistic and productive choices about how and when to spend their time, to optimize work-life balance, to align the time they spend and the activities they perform with their goals. It provides tools for employees to achieve their goals and be more effective and productive.

Target audience

Time Management training will benefit all employees who need to develop effective time management skills.

Trainers

Time Management training is given by trainers who have experience in time management training and capacity building practices in institutions and organizations and / or who have studies / research on this subject.

Objectives and learning outcomes

Those who have successfully completed the Time Management training are expected to;

  • Evaluate own personal time management style,
  • Manage time conflicts,
  • Implement strategies for timely decision-making and coping with procrastination,
  • Comprehend how to manage work-life balance individually,
  • Recognize the basic components of effective goal setting through time management,
  • Try to prioritize and prioritize better,
  • Identify ways to cope with useless work and eliminate distractions,
  • Develop a strategy to align daily activities with their goals,
  • Understand the difference between being “busy” and “productive”,
  • Recognize the tools/technologies to help manage time effectively.

Time Management Skills Training includes the following topics:

  • Using Technology Effectively
  • Setting Boundaries and Creating Work-Life Balance

Delivery and method

Time Management training is applied in the form of face-to-face training. It is recommended to have no more than 20 people in each group to ensure active participation and effective learning in this training. However, if conditions arise that prevent face-to-face training, the training may be delivered remotely by using the Me-Learning© online learning platform and the Actio© meeting management tool.

In this training, trainers guide learners through interaction, group work and practice in a way that facilitates learning and improves their practical skills. In order for learners to experience the skills of identifying activities that cause time loss, creating goals / objectives, using appropriate techniques to manage time effectively, focusing, organizing, using technology effectively to increase effectiveness in time management and ensuring work-life balance, activities such as role playing, group work, working on case studies / scenarios are carried out.

Learning tools and materials

Along with the course presentation, case studies, exercises and worksheets are used as teaching materials to support the development of skills in managing time conflicts, making timely decisions and applying strategies for coping with procrastination, prioritizing, eliminating distractions, using technology to manage time effectively.

Audio visual and multimedia materials, templates, worksheets and other materials for exercises and practices are prepared by the trainer and distributed to the participants. However, if there is a sufficient number of hardware such as computers, notebooks or tablets in the learning environment, all materials are provided in a digital format and studies are carried out in digital context.

In accordance with our waste reduction policy, printed materials are not distributed in this training unless it is educationally necessary.

Assessment and evaluation

In order to optimize the learning process according to the learners’ needs, the level of readiness of the learners is assessed informally by the trainer at the beginning of the training. The studies carried out by the learners, such as exercises and practices are assessed as indicators of the development / learning and the trainer provides feedback and adjusts learning activities based on them in order to ensure effective learning. In addition, at the end of the training, the Training Evaluation Questionnaire is applied.

All participants who have completed the training receive a certificate of attendance showing that they have completed the Time Management training, with duration of the training clearly stated.
