Title of the training
Project Cycle Management (PCM)
Duration
3 Days (18 lesson hours)
Purpose and scope
Project Cycle Management training covers all stages from the beginning to the end of a project process, including how to plan, budget, manage and control a project from the project idea, including the European Union project format and the project formats and processes of international financial institutions in general, including how to finalize the project.
This training also aims to provide participants with basic information about project preparation stages and project preparation techniques. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the training also includes application examples and focuses on the skills of how to achieve their goals in accordance with the cost, duration and resources of the participants, how to be successful in case the participants encounter different project problems at every stage of the project process.
Project Cycle Management (PCM) encompasses all management activities and decision-making procedures used throughout the life cycle of a project. This training aims to provide participants with a complete set of competencies, techniques, tools and good practices for managing all phases of projects.
Target audience
Project Cycle Management training should be taken by those who are working, planning to work or trying to better understand the project cycle including project preparation, implementation and project management activities.
Trainers
The trainers who provide Project Cycle Management Training consist of experts who have previously trained in this subject, who have mastered the project processes, who know the principles and principles of Project Cycle Management and who have mastered the PCM booklet, who are experienced in adult education and hybrid education applications, who have a Project Management Certificate and field/project experience.

Delivery and method
Project Cycle Management training is applied in the form of face-to-face training. A group in this training is recommended not to exceed a maximum of 25 people. However, if conditions arise that prevent face-to-face training, the training may be delivered remotely by using the Me-Learning© online learning platform and the Actio© meeting management tool.
Educators guide learners through interaction and practice in a way that facilitates learning and improves their hands-on skills. Project Cycle Management Training is applied with an “active and applied learning” approach. In addition to the presentation of conceptual issues, sample applications that will enable participants to be actively involved in the process are included in the training.
Conceptual information is supported by sample practices and good practice cases. Q&A sections to support the active participation of the participants, group work and some online tools such as Mentimeter and SurveyMonkey, etc. are used.
Learning tools and materials
Training materials consist of presentations and case studies related to project processes. In Project Cycle Management training, examples of processes and documents related to all stages from the beginning to the closing of a project and worksheets are used as training materials for the learners to experience these processes.
Audio visual and multimedia materials, templates, worksheets and other materials for exercises and practices are prepared by the trainer and distributed to the participants. However, if there is a sufficient number of hardware such as computers, notebooks or tablets in the learning environment, all materials are provided in a digital format and studies are carried out in digital context.
In accordance with our waste reduction policy, printed materials are not distributed in this training unless it is educationally necessary.
Assessment and evaluation
In order to optimize the learning process according to the learners’ needs, the level of readiness of the learners is assessed informally by the trainer at the beginning of the training. The studies carried out by the learners, such as exercises and practices are assessed as indicators of the development / learning and the trainer provides feedback and adjusts learning activities based on them in order to ensure effective learning.
A question sheet is administered to before and after the training to determine the level of awareness and knowledge about Project Cycle Management online or in print. In addition, at the end of the training, the Training Evaluation Questionnaire is applied.
All participants who complete the training receive a certificate of participation showing that they have completed the Project Cycle Management training and the name and duration of the training they have received is clearly stated.
