Purpose and scope
Funding Sources and Processes training covers the introduction of different international funders and information about what the funding sources and business processes are.
This training aims to provide participants with information about the organizational structures, objectives, funding sources, the sectors they provide funding for, and the rules for benefiting from these funds for each of the commonly funding organizations which include;
- World Bank,
- French Development Agency,
- European Union,
- Japan International Cooperation Agency,
- European Investment Bank,
- Islamic Development Bank.
In this training, information about the organizations of international funding institutions in Turkey, their level of representation and the technical collaborations that can be realized with the institutions where the participants work is provided and the operational structures of the institutions are examined.
Target audience
Funding Sources and Processes training will be useful for those who want to have information about regionally widespread funding organizations, follow the calls, prepare proposals within the scope of the calls and take part in the projects supported by these funders.
Trainers
Funding Sources and Processes training is delivered by experts who have previously worked in these international organizations, who know the financing models and funding mechanisms, who have carried out projects with the funds provided by these international organizations.
Objectives and learning outcomes
Those who have successfully completed the Funding Sources and Processes training are expected to;
- Have general knowledge about the structures, goals, objectives and sectors of international funding organizations,
- Understand the funding processes of international funding organizations,
- Act with a more self-confident and high-awareness approach by having knowledge of these organizations and their processes in relations and meetings with international funders.
Content
Funding Sources and Processes Training includes, at a minimum, the following funding institutions:
- World Bank
- French Development Agency
- European Union
- Japan International Cooperation Agency
- European Investment Bank
- Islamic Development Bank
Depending on the needs of the participants, others may be added to these international funding institutions or changes may be made to this list in line with current needs. The training includes the following topics for each international organization:
- Purpose and Objectives of the Organization
- Organizational Structure
- Funding Sources and Related Sectors
- Type of Funding Sources and Application Methods
- Requirements for Using Funding Sources
- Business Processes of the International Organization
Delivery and method
Funding Sources and Processes Training is applied face-to-face. A group in this training is recommended not to exceed a maximum of 25 people. However, if conditions arise that prevent face-to-face training, the training may be delivered remotely by using the Me-Learning© online learning platform and the Actio© meeting management tool.
The trainer guides learners through interaction and practice in a way that facilitates learning and improves their practice skills. Conceptual information is supported by examples and question-and-answer sections, group work and some online tools (Mentimeter, SurveyMonkey, etc.) may be used to support the active participation of the participants.
Learning tools and materials
Training materials consist of presentations and notes on the training, supported by case studies in the relevant sections. Audio visual and multimedia materials, templates, worksheets and other materials for exercises and practices are prepared by the trainer and distributed to the participants. However, if there is a sufficient number of hardware such as computers, notebooks or tablets in the learning environment, all materials are provided in a digital format and studies are carried out in digital context.
In accordance with our waste reduction policy, printed materials are not distributed in this training unless it is educationally necessary.
Assessment and evaluation
A question sheet is administered to the participants of the training before and after the training to determine the level of awareness and knowledge about Funding Sources and Processes online or in print. In addition, at the end of the training, the Training Evaluation Questionnaire is applied.
All participants who complete the training receive a certificate of participation showing that they have completed the Funding Sources and Processes training, with duration of the training clearly stated.
